来校2日目となる5月29日、シンガポールの聖パトリック校からの生徒たちは、本校のさまざまな部活動に分かれて参加しました。その一環として、数名の生徒がバレーボール部の練習に加わり、本校の部員たちと交流を深めました。
ウォーミングアップからパス練習、そしてゲーム形式の練習試合まで、言葉や文化の壁を越えて、共に汗を流しました。ジェスチャーや笑顔、そしてバレーボールという共通言語を通して、自然なコミュニケーションが生まれ、生徒たちはすぐに打ち解けた様子でした。
短い時間ではありましたが、スポーツが持つ「つながる力」を改めて実感できる、貴重なひとときとなりました。
St. Patrick's School Students from Singapore Join Volleyball Club (Day 2 of Visit)
On the second day of their visit, May ２９, students from St. Patrick’s School in Singapore joined various club activities at our school. As part of this cultural exchange, several students participated in the volleyball club and enjoyed practicing together with our students.
From warm-up drills and passing practice to a friendly match, everyone worked together, communicating through gestures, smiles, and the shared language of volleyball, overcoming language and cultural barriers. The students quickly bonded and enjoyed the friendly and energetic atmosphere.
Though brief, the experience offered a valuable opportunity to feel the unifying power of sports and to deepen cross-cultural understanding through meaningful interaction.
