Catholic Monthly Magazine --“Evangelism”
Hakodate La Salle was featured in the May issue of “Catholic Monthly Magazine”.
The article highlighted the activities of the La Salle’s Mission Club and how they realize their motto “Think Globally, Act Locally”.
The students work closely with the church to consider global issues, such as poverty and mutual cultural-understanding.
They then make plans for how they can actively contribute to solving these problems in our local community, as well as the broader Lasallian community.
Local projects have included helping migrant-workers and international students receive necessities and learn Japanese.
The mission club also participates in global projects.
One of these projects includes going to the Philippines to assist at La Salle schools in poorer communities.
We hope that more students become interested in the Mission Club and promote kindness to achieve a better future for all.
