6月5日(日)に函館市芸術ホールで開催された第143回市民合唱祭にグリー部が出場しました。島聖子教諭の指揮で2曲を披露しました。1曲目は古典落語より『平林』を，2曲目は『島唄』を披露しました。
情緒たっぷりのインスツルメンタルに部員たちの心のこもった歌声が合わさり，情熱的でいてエキゾチックな雰囲気に会場全体が包まれました。部長の勝井湊君(2-D)は和気あいあいをモットーに毎日練習していますと話してくれました。生徒たちは実に素晴らしいパフォーマンスを見せてくれました。
今後より一層の歌声を聴かせてくれるのが楽しみです。
On Sunday, June 5th, the Hakodate La Salle Glee Club performed for the "Hakodate Citizen’s Chorus Festival" at the Hakodate City Art Hall. The group gave a stellar performance of two songs under the direction of Ms. Seiko Shima.
The first song was "Hirabayashi" from a classic rakugo story piece. The second song was "Shima Uta" (Island Song) which was absolutely a stand-out performance. The eerie instrumentals combined with the boys' haunting vocals achieved an atmosphere of wonder and mystery.
Club director, Minato Katsui (SHS 2nd Year), said that they practiced everyday keeping in mind their motto of "和気調々" (in harmony). The students did a wonderful job and we look forward to more performances in the future.
