Halloween has descended upon Hakodate La Salle! The English teachers at Hakodate La Salle have been sharing the spirit of Halloween culture popular in Western countries.
10月の1か月間、「イングリッシュボード」というコーナーでは、映画の悪役や神話の怪物、都市伝説など、さまざまな“モンスター”を紹介してきました。生徒たちは「どのモンスターが一番怖いか」に投票し、今週の最終決戦では「オオカミ男（Werewolf）」が見事優勝しました。
For the month of October, the "English Board" has been explaining various "monsters" such as movie villains, mythical beasts, urban legends, and so on. Students have had the chance to vote for which monster they think is the scariest. In this week's final battle, the Werewolf was victorious.
英語研究会では、森町で収穫された本物のかぼちゃを使って、ジャック・オー・ランタン作りを体験しました。初めての活動となる生徒も多く、楽しく取り組む様子が見られました。
The English Club participated in making jack-o'-lanterns using real pumpkins harvested from the neaby town Mori. For some students, it was their first time participating in such an activity.
また、英会話の授業でもハロウィンについて学び、英語を使ってハロウィンゲームを楽しみました。
Students in Oral Communication classes have also had the chance to learn about Halloween and use English to play Halloween games.
