12月1日（月）、函館ラ・サール中学校の生徒4名が函館聾学校を訪問しました。
函館ラ・サール校による訪問は2年ぶりとなり、協働活動を再開できることを大変楽しみにしていました。
ラ・サールのコアバリュー（Core Values）のひとつに「包摂的な共同体」があります。今回参加した4名のボランティアは、自分たちとは異なる能力を持つ地域の子どもたちと交流する機会を積極的に求め、この価値観を実践する場を得ることができました。
訪問では、函館聾学校の生徒たちがラ・サール校の生徒に挨拶や名前の綴り方といった基本的な手話を教えてくれました。また、ジェスチャーゲームを通じて交流を深め、笑顔あふれる時間となりました。
今回の訪問を企画してくださった函館聾学校の皆さまに心より感謝申し上げます。今後もさらなる連携を楽しみにしています。
On Monday, December 1st, four junior high school students visited the Hakodate School for the Deaf.
It had been two years since Hakodate La Salle last visited the School for the Deaf. We were very eager to resume collaboration. One of the “Five Core Values of Lasallian Schools” is “Inclusive Community”. The four volunteers had a chance to uphold this value by pursuing the opportunity to interact with students in the community that have different abilities than themselves.
The students at the School for the Deaf taught the La Salle students basic sign language, such as greetings and how to spell their names. They also played a gesture game. Our time together was brief, but meaningful. We are very grateful to the School for the Deaf for planning our visit, and we look forward to future collaborations.
