Five members of the the English Club participated in the 10th South Hokkaido Senior High School Cultural Association English Presentation Contest. The members included 1st year Yasufumi Takezaki, 2nd year Takehiro Miyauchi, and 3rd years Mintato Katsui, Tatsusaburo Sato, and Shota Mitsuhashi.
The team presented their project called "HAPI for Happiness" which proposed the development of an app to make our city more accessible for people with disabilities. The students were commended by the judges for their teamwork and confidence. They were also impressed by the students seeking out people that encounter barriers in their daily lives as references for research. We are very grateful to the Hakodate School for the Deaf for allowing us to share their stories.
The team was able to achieve 1st place in the contest. We congratulate the students for their fantastic effort.
第10回道南高等学校英語プレゼンテーション大会
第10回道南高等学校文化連盟英語プレゼンテーションコンテストに、英語研究部5名が出場しました。
1年生 竹崎 泰史 ／ 2年生 宮内 毅大 ／ 3年生 勝井湊斗, 佐藤 達三郎, 三橋 想太
本チームは「HAPI for Happiness」というプロジェクトを発表し、障がいのある方々がより暮らしやすい街にするためのアプリ開発を提案しました。
部員たちのチームワークと堂々とした発表が高く評価されました。
今回の取り組みを通じて、日常生活で困難に直面している人々について調査・研究している方々について深く知ることができ、とても感銘を受けた次第です。
協力してくださった函館ろう学校の皆様に深く感謝申し上げます。
チームはコンテストで1位を獲得することができました。生徒たちの素晴らしい努力を称えたいと思います。
