Five members of the the English Club participated in the 11th South Hokkaido Senior High School Cultural Association English Presentation Contest.
The members included senior high school 2nd years Yasufumi Takezaki, Yoshito Watanabe, Rito Takahashi, 1st years Shuma Takagi and Luca Yoshida.
The team presented their project called "Green to Green" which proposed using composting as a method to reduce the effects of food loss in schools. The team had a good plan that addresses issues such as food waste, climate change, and hunger.
The team was able to win 2nd place in the competition.

第11回道南高等学校英語プレゼンテーション大会
函館中部高校で開催された第11回道南高等学校英語プレゼンテーション大会に、英語部から5名が出場しました。
高２の竹崎泰史 君、渡部馨仁 君、髙橋浬人 君、高１の髙木秀真 君、吉田ルカ 君です。
同チームは「Green to Green」と名付けたプロジェクトを発表し、学校における食品ロスの影響を軽減する方法としてコンポストの活用を提案しました。
食品廃棄、気候変動、飢餓などの問題を解決する優れた計画です。
チームは大会で見事2位を獲得することができました。
