Doing presentations in class benefits the students in many ways. Learning how to speak in front of a group is a broadly applicable professional skill. At Hakodate La Salle, students begin presenting in English as early as the first-year of junior high school. In Oral Communication class, students learn how to prepare material, practice, improve body language, and improve their English-speaking skills. They do this through individual speeches, pair role-play, and group presentations. We hope that the students gradually gain more and more confidence in their English-speaking skills and public-speaking skills through such classroom activities.

函館ラ・サール中学校では、中学１年生の早期から英語でのプレゼンテーションを始めています。オーラルコミュニケーションの授業では、生徒たちは資料の準備の手順、練習の方法、ボディーランゲージの改善、英語を話すスキルの向上などを総合的に学びます。
個人スピーチ、ペアでのロールプレイ、グループでのプレゼンテーションなどを通して、英語でのスピーキング力を高めていきます。
このような授業活動を通して、生徒たちが英語を話すスキルや人前で話すスキルに徐々に自信をつけていくことを期待しています。
